Boise takes over Nevada

We went on a little weekend getaway with no kids. We had never left them over night before. I was really not looking forward to being away from them. My mom and dad watched them for us, so I knew they were in the best of care. That made me feel more comfortable. I did a lot better than I thought I would, when my dad came and picked them up. Kyle and I had been wanting to go to a Boise state away game for a couple of years now. We thought this one would be a great one to travel to. The wolf pack against the broncos was the most exciting game last year. This one was not too far behind. Kyle's brother and his wife came with us, which made the trip even more fun. They are so funny! The drive went by pretty quickly, because of them. That is saying a lot, since it is a really boring drive. Carson and Kylie had a great time with my parents, and I am sure they were spoiled the entire time. I think my mom and dad's house is feeling pretty quiet today! We were all so glad to see eachother when we got home. Our two little munchkins were waiting for us at the door, with the biggest smiles and laughs. We definitely want to travel to another game with the bronco nation!

Man these Boise people are crazy........they all travel 6 hours just to watch a football game. So worth the drive!!

The Happiest Place On Earth

Last week we had the opportunity of going to Disneyland with my birth parents, niece and nephew. We had sooooo much fun! It was a trip that we will remember forever. We stayed at the Disneyland hotel, but still had to do a lot of walking to get to the park. The monorail was broken quite a bit while we were there, so we were sore at the end of each day! It took Carson and Kylie a day to get used to the new environment and all the excitement. They were a little crabby the first day and a half. After that, we all had such a great time. My favorite part of the trip was having breakfast at Goofy's kitchen. The food was amazing, and the characters all came to our table for pictures. Carson loved Goofy, and Kylie would only allow Cinderella to sit next to her. Kyle's favorite part was the big white roller coaster at California adventure. I was not able to ride it due to my belly=0) but I could tell that it was awesome, by the look on his face. He rode it at least 5 times. He even braved the Hollywood tower of terror with Drew and Kayla. I was glad that I had a great excuse not to hop on that one! Kylie and Carson loved riding on Buzz lightyear, and shooting at the aliens. That and the Merry go round were there favorites. They also enjoyed splashing in the water at the bugs life play area. Kyle and I have never been to Disneyland before when the lines were so short, and the weather was so nice. We were really lucky, and chose a great time to go!

Kyle and I loved to eat at the rainforest cafe in S.F, when I lived in California. It has such a cool atmosphere.We were excited that there was one in Downtown Disney.

We were so happy to be able to take Kylie and Carson to Disneyland. This is something that I have always wanted to do with our kids. We hope to go back in a couple of years, as a family of five!!

Sick as a Dog

So poor Chloe has had a rough week. We had to take her to the Emergency clinic last weekend. It turned out that she had a slipped disc in her back. She was really miserable. Kyle and I thought that she was going to have to be put down. The pain medication made her act really loopy. After we took her off of it, she came back to life. She is now almost fully recovered, and we are soooo happy and relieved! Kylie and Carson are glad their dog is back to her normal self too!

Saturday night was our ward's trunk or treat. The kids love trick or treating! They really caught on fast. They knew what to do last year as well! They looked really cute in their matching costumes. I have to take advantage of the opportunity to dress them alike while I can. I am sure someday (maybe even next year) they will want to pick out their own costumes. My mom painted their faces so cute before we left. Kylie loved having her face made up.........once again, that's my girl. I love makeup too!Chloe, and her two wonderful nurses. She had to be hand fed for a few days!

Weekend with the Belnaps'

We had a great weekend with David (Kyle's brother), Melissa and cute little Aiden. They are a lot of fun to be with. Kyle's Bronco spirit has worn off on them, and he is thrilled that they are big fans now too. My parents watched the three kids so that we could go to the BSU-Hawaii game. Melissa and I had fun people watching while we were there. It was a fun game, and of course the blue and orange won!

On Saturday we took the kids to the pumpkin patch. We took a hayride out to the field, and let them each pick out a pumpkin just their size. It was really cute to see the three cousins hanging out and playing together. I am sure Aiden was relieved to get back home to some peace and quiet! Come back and see us again soon!!

NICU Graduation party

We attended the anual NICU party last week at the hospital. We really enjoy going each year. We get to see the Dr.'s and nurses who cared for the babies and myself, and give them a big hug. It is a wonderful experience, and they will always have such a special place in my heart. We even saw the specialist who took care of them before they were born. We knew that as long as she had a close eye on them, they would be o.k. I am sure it is such a rewarding experience for them to see how far each child has come. We saw a little boy there who was in the NICU with the twins. He was born at 1lb! We enjoy seeing him, and how well he is doing. I am so grateful for the technology these days, it is just so amazing to me. A lot of these kids would not be here if they had been born before it! At the party they ask for the kids to wear their Halloween costumes. They have gifts, and games, and lots of candy for them. Here are some pictures of the party.......

Last week was a pretty crazy week for us. We all had a horrible cold, with a cough that lasted forever. I noticed last week that Carson's eyes looked really bad when he woke up from his nap. I called the Dr. and they diagnosed him with pink eye over the phone. I was glad we didn't have to take him in for it. We went to pick up his eye drops, and the problem was taken care of. I was really careful and washed his sheets and pillows, but Kylie still got it. Thankfully we had plenty of drops to take care of her too. A couple days after, it seemed like Carson's cold was getting worse. His cough was keeping him up at night too, so we took him in to the Dr.. Thankfully we did, because he had walking pneumonia and an ear infection. Poor little guy! I almost didn't take him, because I figured she would say that the cold just needed to run it's course. I trusted my motherly instinct, and gave her a call anyways. He is doing much better now and has taken all his medicine.
Since we are all feeling better this week, we decided to do a fun project..........caramel apples! I was inspired by a friend of mine, who is trying to do fun fall/halloween activities with her kids this month. I thought it was a great idea to get the kids involved and help them to enjoy this fun season to the fullest. They had a great time helping, and especially eating their creations.

Kylie thought that looked like fun, so she licked them too. I guess we won't be sharing these with the neighbors!ha,ha. I would, if we didn't like our neighbors.

Carson found a neat way to eat them, without getting his fingers sticky. I may have to try that next time! Kylie thought it was pretty funny, and encouraged him to keep eating like a piggy.
