Where'd my waci go?

We finally did it! No more paci's(they called them their waci) for Carson and Kylie . We had been feeling bad to take them away, but finally got the courage to do it. I was tired of seeing them in their mouths, every time I turned around. We tried to only let them have them at night, but they always snuck them out of their rooms. I had heard from a few people about how to get rid of them. I liked the idea of having them color an envelope and mail them to babies that needed them. They then got to open the mail box and see it full of treats and rewards. It worked pretty well. Last night was their second night without them. Carson must have been dreaming about his, because he would wake up throughout the night and say "where'd my waci go?". He sounded like a broken record at one point, and Kylie finally yelled out from her room and said "it's in the mailbox Bubby!". It was really funny! We are so glad that we finally got the courage to take them away. Now we just have to make sure that they don't try to steal all of their baby sister's paci's away from her.
Kylie had a great time decorating her envelope

Carson was still grumpy about the whole thing, even after he got his treats!

For our little ladies!

We finally finished Kylie and her baby sister's room this weekend. I was in such a rush to get it done. I felt like we were running out of time, since the new baby will be here very soon. It was a lot of work, but looks really cute. Painting the polka dots took the most time. We were seeing them in our sleep! It was worth all of the time and hard work, because Kylie really loves her lady bug room. Here are some pictures of the finished product.............
Kylie helped put the lady bugs and flowers above her bed. She did a great job!

The picture of the lady bug use to be a frog painting from the twin's room. I painted it white in the center, and added some ribbon. The lady bug is a vinyl sticker. Thanks for your idea's mom!!

my sister in law told me about the little lady bugs, and I painted the flowers, and then drew dots to connect them. Thanks Melissa, for the great idea.

peaceful moments

Carson and Kylie rarely sit still throughout the day, they are very busy the majority of the time. Carson got a little train as a Christmas present and it was so cute to see him lay down and watch it go around. Kyle and I also went to check on the kids before we went to bed the other night, and found Kylie snuggled up close to her doll. It was also really cute! We had to get a picture, because like I said, it is rare that they are so calm and quiet!

We also got a new double stroller. Kylie and Carson loved helping Kyle put it together, and then taking it for a test drive around the house. Our old double stroller looked horrible, since we used it sooo much.We definitely got our money's worth out of it. We wanted to have a nice clean one, when the baby gets here. Plus I wanted the car seat to match it, and we sold our old car seats (they were also well used).

Ahoy!!

My very talented sister in law and family were here to visit us this week for New Year's, and helped me finish up Carson's room. Kyle and I had bought the furniture and put up the paneling, but the room was very plain. She had some really great ideas to decorate it. We did a lot of shopping, and these are the results.................................................
The boat bed

We found this lamp at a discount store, painted it, she painted and glued the boat to the base, and it turned out really cute for half the cost!

She even had the idea of putting a sail above his bed........it looks even cuter in person!

Thanks again Melissa! I am really happy with the way it turned out. Now, I just have to keep my double trouble from tearing off the wall paper, and breaking the lamp! We are going to start working on Kylie and her baby sister's room this weekend! I hope it turns out as cute as Carson's =0)

Joy to the World

We hope that everyone had a very Merry Christmas! We had a great one. We have had so much snow already this year, and we love it. It is so pretty. We spent Christmas eve at home, opened stockings, and watched Christmas movies. We went to my parents house Christmas day, after we opened our presents at home. The kids were sooo much fun this year. They were so excited, and it was really cute to watch them. It is funny how they are so easily pleased with such simple things. It is hard not to smile when you see their happy faces. We are so grateful for everything that we have, and for the blessings that we have been given this past year.

Kylie and Carson all dressed up for church last Sunday
The stockings! I just love how mine was knitted for me as a child by a close family friend. She really loved me...................the more you put in it, the longer it grows!he.he.

presents from Santa!

Carson loved his choo choo train shirt

Kylie helping daddy open his presents too
There must be something good in there, it is from one of mommy's favorite stores!

Carson is now equipped to put some holes in the walls! He has already been busy fixing things.

grammy and grandpa got Kylie her very own shopping cart,

and Carson a fire truck! That kept him busy for quite a while.

Finally, time to enjoy their feast! They were so tired by this time, they ended up having to take a nap instead! Kylie refused to eat. She looks happy in this picture, but she was really one tired and cranky little girl! Still cute though =0)

Holiday fun

My grandma always sends us some omaha steaks for Christmas. This year, Carson and Kylie were really excited to help open the box and put them away in the freezer. They then had lots of fun playing with, and inside the box. Kyle always likes to play with the dry ice in the sink, and his little helpers were right there to share in the fun! We also made some peanut butter cookies this week, and dipped them in colorful sprinkles instead of sugar. The kids love to help make things, and I must say that they are two of the cutest little chefs I have ever seen!

I would have never guessed that a box of frozen steaks could be so much fun (for little kids anyways)! Way to go grandma!

The dry ice is always a big hit with their dad each year, so you know how the kids must have felt about it.

Hard at work

The best part is sampling the product along the way. Yes there are feet on the counter, but they are clean feet............at least I hope they are! =0)

They decided to try and mix the red and green sprinkles. I also thought it was a good idea, until we saw how the cookies looked kind of dark. That gave us a good reason to hurry up and eat those ones, before anyone else saw them!

Happy 8th Anniversary

Here's to another great and exciting year, and we hope for many, many more..........................well, at least I do! he.he.
Kyle made us reservations at a new restaurant in town. Great food, great music, and best of all really great dessert!! Love you Kyle=0)
