Air show

We had to go and check out some cool airplanes at war hawk air museum over the summer. Kyle has a deep love for airplanes........especially the P-51 mustang. Those were what were at the airport that day. It is fun to see him get so excited about them.

There is also a restaurant on the roof of the airport. We like to go there and eat and watch the planes. The kids love it too. We had to get some milkshakes to cool off.

Haircuts, reptiles, and races

Lexi got her first haircut a couple of months ago. She did so good. Kylie and Carson went first, so she watched them and knew just what to do. She looks so cute with her new style!We also had the reptile guy come to our local library. It was a great experience for the kids

He also had a tarantula, an big iguana and some large snakes.......creepy!

The kids and I also went to the horse races with my parents one night. We had great time.

Carson always takes good care of his sister.......and some other friends of his that are girls. I guess he is a ladies man. ha.ha

Horse parade

I bought the kids a slip n slide one day. I remember how I loved mine as a kid. It lasted a whole hour, before it was ruined. I am glad it was cheap!But it was worth the money for the hour for sure. The kids and their neighbor friend had a blast.

That same night Kylie and I went to the all girls party for our church activity. I was helping to set up and clean up, so I couldn't bring Lexi with me this year either. We had a great time!

That weekend we decided to go to the horse parade that takes place before the rodeo each year.

My favorites are always the dancing horses. I could not take my eyes off of them!

After the parade we went to the park to ride the paddle boats and feed the ducks and geese. Pretty funny.......they were everywhere. A man standing by us kept saying "They don't have teeth, so they cant hurt you". Finally I decided to feed the goose some popcorn from my hand. It may not have had teeth, but it sure did try to take my finger off! I don't think I will try that again anytime soon. ha.

Lex and I were glad to have Carson on our boat. He was a great helper and has some good leg power!

We finished off the day with some yummy ice cream treats! What a great weekend.

We ran to the store one day, and Kylie and Carson took a nap on the way back. Camping is hard work!
Before Kyle's sister and her family left, we went swimming at the reservoir and had lunch.

There was a fallen tree that the kids loved to walk on. It made a bridge across the creek and they would get water from it to water the flowers that they picked for the table.
This ax was one of Kyle's birthday presents. He got it early because he was going to go buy one.=0) I thought it was cute to see him and Carson chopping wood together.

Our trailer has an indoor and an outdoor shower. The outdoor one was perfect for the kids!

Fourth of July!!!

We have made it a tradition to go to the God and Country celebration that takes place about a week before the fourth. We sit across the street from it and hang out until it is time for the fireworks. We always have a lot of fun, and the kids love it too. They bring frisbee's and hula hoops and we have lots of snacks while we wait. We met some friends there, and some family too.

Then for the fourth, we went to a parade. Here are Kyle and Lex on the swings next to the parade route.

We went to the parade with Kyle's sister and her family. We went to their house after so the kids could swim, and we had lunch with them.

Then we headed back to our neighborhood for a B.B.Q. The kids did a little fishing in the pond by our house

Since the fourth is about celebrating our freedoms, Carson gained his own personal freedom that day. No more training wheels!! We were all so excited for him! I thought it was funny that he learned on independence day!!
