Joy to the World

We hope that everyone had a very Merry Christmas! We had a great one. We have had so much snow already this year, and we love it. It is so pretty. We spent Christmas eve at home, opened stockings, and watched Christmas movies. We went to my parents house Christmas day, after we opened our presents at home. The kids were sooo much fun this year. They were so excited, and it was really cute to watch them. It is funny how they are so easily pleased with such simple things. It is hard not to smile when you see their happy faces. We are so grateful for everything that we have, and for the blessings that we have been given this past year.

Kylie and Carson all dressed up for church last Sunday
The stockings! I just love how mine was knitted for me as a child by a close family friend. She really loved me...................the more you put in it, the longer it grows!he.he.

presents from Santa!

Carson loved his choo choo train shirt

Kylie helping daddy open his presents too
There must be something good in there, it is from one of mommy's favorite stores!

Carson is now equipped to put some holes in the walls! He has already been busy fixing things.

grammy and grandpa got Kylie her very own shopping cart,

and Carson a fire truck! That kept him busy for quite a while.

Finally, time to enjoy their feast! They were so tired by this time, they ended up having to take a nap instead! Kylie refused to eat. She looks happy in this picture, but she was really one tired and cranky little girl! Still cute though =0)

Holiday fun

My grandma always sends us some omaha steaks for Christmas. This year, Carson and Kylie were really excited to help open the box and put them away in the freezer. They then had lots of fun playing with, and inside the box. Kyle always likes to play with the dry ice in the sink, and his little helpers were right there to share in the fun! We also made some peanut butter cookies this week, and dipped them in colorful sprinkles instead of sugar. The kids love to help make things, and I must say that they are two of the cutest little chefs I have ever seen!

I would have never guessed that a box of frozen steaks could be so much fun (for little kids anyways)! Way to go grandma!

The dry ice is always a big hit with their dad each year, so you know how the kids must have felt about it.

Hard at work

The best part is sampling the product along the way. Yes there are feet on the counter, but they are clean least I hope they are! =0)

They decided to try and mix the red and green sprinkles. I also thought it was a good idea, until we saw how the cookies looked kind of dark. That gave us a good reason to hurry up and eat those ones, before anyone else saw them!

Christmas tree and horses

We went to Idaho Falls over the weekend to visit Kyle's family. Grandma and Grandpa Belnap let Carson and Kylie ride their horse (Megan) around the pasture. They had so much fun. Kylie had a huge smile the entire time, and Carson would not let grandpa let go of him for one second. It was really cute to watch!
We also got our tree up and decorated last week. Carson and Kylie loved helping out with the ornaments. We will have to buy some at the sales after Christmas, because they broke a few while helping. Kylie was really wanting a "big one tree" and Carson loves the lights. He really enjoys plugging them in and out of the socket. Here are some pictures of the horse ride and our tree!

All it is missing is a few presents!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year! Some of my family from California came up to spend the holiday with us. I haven't spent Thanksgivng with them, since I move here to Idaho. It was quite a treat to say the least! I was thrilled to see everyone. We had a great dinner at my mom's house on Thursday, and on Friday we all went to the BSU/Fresno game. That was a blast! My cousins are from the Fresno area and are pretty big fans. They even decorated their truck............ and got a lot of dirty looks!j/k. Everyone was really nice to them. We had a tailgate party before the game. They attracted a lot of attention, because they were standing out in their bright red clothes. A local radio station drove by and talked to was on the air! They got free gifts, and a burrito party pack that we picked up after the game. It was so much fun! Boise won 61 to 10.........oh dang! They washed their truck the next morning..........he,he. We all had a great time together, and I hope I don't have to wait another 8 years to spend a holiday with them!
