squeaky clean

Yesterday was Alexis' first bath. We had to wait for her little cord thing to come off, so she has been having sponge baths up until now. She was so relaxed for the bath. She enjoyed the warm water, and looked very comfortable. She is a very laid back baby. I think she has more of my personality( right now anyway). The only time she gets fussy is when she is hungry(just like me). I expected her to get cranky in the bath, but she was pretty content with the whole thing. I had to snuggle with her for a while after........nothing beats the smell of a clean little baby with Johnson & Johnson's pink lotion!

she even liked the way the water tasted!

Here she is, hanging out with her big brother and sister.

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

We spent this Valentine's Day with our three little sweethearts. It was a nice day. Both sets of grandparents came by for a visit, which made it extra special. We celebrated by having heart shaped donuts (thanks to grandma and grandpa), and a heart shaped pizza for lunch. The kids loved opening up some little presents, and playing for most of the day. We are still celebrating the birth of our little Alexis, and still can't stop staring at her! We feel so blessed. Kylie and Carson are doing wonderful with their baby sister. They love to help get diapers, wipes, cream and her pacifier...........especially Kylie. They do not act jealous in any way, and actually seem to have matured a little by her being here. I am sooo proud of them! Lexi has so far been such a good little baby, she hardly ever cries. She does make some really funny noises. She sounds like a sheep sometimes. It is really cute.
Here is Alexis in her Valentine's Day outfit

Carson wih his box of chocolates. That is what makes him happy..........candy, and cars. Pretty simple!Kylie's favorite gifts were the stickers, and her new p.j's

Happy Birthday Lexi!!

We welcomed Alexis Brielle on February 6th! She weighed 8lbs, 8oz and was born at 8:00 am.........lots of eight's! We are so relieved, that her and I are both fine and healthy. I am still a little sore, but getting around pretty well. She is such a blessing, and we are extremely grateful to have her in our family. She is a beautiful little princess, and we can't stop staring at her. It is just amazing! We had such a great experience at the hospital again. It is the same place that we had the twins. The nurses and doctors are so good at calming our nerves, and helping us to feel at home.
Carson and Kylie have been staying with my parents since last Thursday. I am so grateful to my mom and dad, and their willingness to help us all the time. It was comforting to know that they were so well taken care of, and having a great time. Kyle was able to stay by my side the entire time, because of them. They brought the kids to the hospital to see us each day.Carson and Kylie liked kissing on their new sister, and helping to get her blankets and pacifiers. Lexi, Kyle and I just got home yesterday, and we will be picking up the kids tomorrow. My parents kept them an extra day to give me some more healing time. We are excited to get them home, and to watch them play with their baby. We really missed them!
One last picture of my tummy, just as we were getting ready to head over to the hospital
Ready to meet our baby girl!!!!!! Who knew that Kyle could make scrubs look so good=0)
There's our little Alexis.......I guess 81/2lbs isn't too little!
beautiful flowers from Daddy, daddy's work, and bishop
I had waited a long time for this moment!
Here is one exhausted daddy. He handled everything so well, and was such a big help!
Visit with our little munchkins. Carson was trying to figure out how that remote worked. At least he didn't flip me out of the bed with it!
It doesn't get cuter than that. What a precious moment!

Kylie, finally getting to love on baby sister.

Our celebration dinner..............the hospital food was really good.

On our way out to the car, looking forward to taking our princess home.

Christmas pictures

I just wanted to post our family Christmas pictures............finally! Carson had broke our CD drive, so I had to wait for Kyle to fix it. Also tomorrow, we will no longer be a family of four, but a family of five, so it would not be fair to post these any later(I guess technically, she is in the picture-ha,ha.). Kylie was not in a great mood for the photo shoot, so we are lucky that we ended up with as good of ones as we did! Wish us luck tomorrow! Our little princess will be here very early in the morning. I am sooo excited, but a little scared for the surgery part of it!

Where'd my waci go?

We finally did it! No more paci's(they called them their waci) for Carson and Kylie . We had been feeling bad to take them away, but finally got the courage to do it. I was tired of seeing them in their mouths, every time I turned around. We tried to only let them have them at night, but they always snuck them out of their rooms. I had heard from a few people about how to get rid of them. I liked the idea of having them color an envelope and mail them to babies that needed them. They then got to open the mail box and see it full of treats and rewards. It worked pretty well. Last night was their second night without them. Carson must have been dreaming about his, because he would wake up throughout the night and say "where'd my waci go?". He sounded like a broken record at one point, and Kylie finally yelled out from her room and said "it's in the mailbox Bubby!". It was really funny! We are so glad that we finally got the courage to take them away. Now we just have to make sure that they don't try to steal all of their baby sister's paci's away from her.
Kylie had a great time decorating her envelope

Carson was still grumpy about the whole thing, even after he got his treats!

For our little ladies!

We finally finished Kylie and her baby sister's room this weekend. I was in such a rush to get it done. I felt like we were running out of time, since the new baby will be here very soon. It was a lot of work, but looks really cute. Painting the polka dots took the most time. We were seeing them in our sleep! It was worth all of the time and hard work, because Kylie really loves her lady bug room. Here are some pictures of the finished product.............
Kylie helped put the lady bugs and flowers above her bed. She did a great job!

The picture of the lady bug use to be a frog painting from the twin's room. I painted it white in the center, and added some ribbon. The lady bug is a vinyl sticker. Thanks for your idea's mom!!

my sister in law told me about the little lady bugs, and I painted the flowers, and then drew dots to connect them. Thanks Melissa, for the great idea.

peaceful moments

Carson and Kylie rarely sit still throughout the day, they are very busy the majority of the time. Carson got a little train as a Christmas present and it was so cute to see him lay down and watch it go around. Kyle and I also went to check on the kids before we went to bed the other night, and found Kylie snuggled up close to her doll. It was also really cute! We had to get a picture, because like I said, it is rare that they are so calm and quiet!

We also got a new double stroller. Kylie and Carson loved helping Kyle put it together, and then taking it for a test drive around the house. Our old double stroller looked horrible, since we used it sooo much.We definitely got our money's worth out of it. We wanted to have a nice clean one, when the baby gets here. Plus I wanted the car seat to match it, and we sold our old car seats (they were also well used).
